Short Description	The table contains information about designated sites and designated boundaries at national level.
Definition	The designated areas table includes designated sites as well as designated boundaries; see the Designated boundaries concept note in the NatDA reference portal http://cdr.eionet.europa.eu/help/cdda/. The unique NatDA ID is identical to the WDPA ID and reused in the World Database on Protected Areas.
Methodology for obtaining data	An appointed national Reportnet user (NFP, NRC biodivdata, or NatDA reporter) can allocate codes (NatDA ID) for new designated areas on the Site code allocation web page (http://dd.eionet.europa.eu/services/siteCodes). The NatDA ID and the INSPIRE ID are both unique keys for the tabular and the spatial data. It is recommended that the Local ID of the composite INSPIRE ID reuse the NatDA ID value.
