Definition	Indicates whether the area is considered an OECM (Other Effective area-based Conservation Measure) meaning a geographically defined area other than a Protected Area, which is governed and managed in ways that achieve positive and sustained long-term outcomes for the in-situ conservation of biodiversity, with associated ecosystem functions and services and where applicable, cultural, spiritual, socio–economic, and other locally relevant values.
Methodology for obtaining data	This value is required. The validity of values depends on the Designated area type ([designatedAreaType]). If the feature is a designated site ([designatedAreaType] = 'designatedSite'), valid values are: 'yes'or 'no'. If the feature is a designated boundary ([designatedAreaType] = 'designatedBoundary'), valid values are: 'yes' or 'no'. If the feature is a group of polygons (a multipolygon) under strict protection ([designatedAreaType] = 'strictProtectionBoundary'), the OECM value must be 'no'.
