Name	CDDA ID
Definition	Unique record identifier within the CDDA data base for nationally designated areas. The CDDA ID is identical to the WDPA ID and reused in the World Data base on Protected Areas (WDPA).
Methodology for obtaining data	This value is required. This field may NOT be changed as it forms the link to the source data base and later to the WDPA. For newly created designated areas, new site codes must be requested by an appointed Reportnet user (NFP, NRC biodivdata or CDDA reporter) via the site code allocation web service at http://dd.eionet.europa.eu/services/siteCodes. If designated areas are to be merged or split, the ETC/BD should be consulted on how to proceed with the site codes.
