Methodology for obtaining data The data requested for Nitrates Directive should be derived from existing national and/or regional monitoring networks within each Member State.
One table should be used for all groundwater monitoring stations. The combination of the elements CountryCode, NationalStationCode and StationType must create a unique record in the table. No duplicate records should exist with this combination.
If this station has been used for the reporting to WFD or Waterbase and all the characteristics are already known from these databases, properties like the "National Station Name" have not to be filled in.
