| Definition | Ultra-basic serpentinic rocks of the Balkan peninsula and Central Europe. They belong to the most dry and warm habitats. Typical species are [Halacsya sendtneri], [Potentilla mollis] and ferns [Asplenium cuneifolium], [Notholaena marantae], [Asplenium trichomanes]. In high-mountain cliffs of southeast Europe [Silene serbica], [Jovibarba heuffelii var. kopaonikensis], [Edraianthus jugoslavicus var. subalpinus], [Festuca panciciana], [Sedum serpentini] occur. The frequency of endemic species is quite high. |
