Definition [Pinus pinea] forests of Mediterranean enclaves on the southern Black Sea coast of Anatolia in extreme eastern Paphlegonia and in western and eastern Lazistan, some, at least, apparently indigenous. In Lazistan, they occur, in particular, on hill slopes, from sea level to the top of the coastal range, on eruptive rocks, with a rich undergrowth including [Cistus creticus], [Pistacia palaestina], [Juniperus oxycedrus].
