Concept: Permanent eutrophic lakes, ponds and pools in the eunishabitats vocabulary

Concept URI http://eunis.eea.europa.eu/eunishabitats/C1.3
Preferred label Permanent eutrophic lakes, ponds and pools
Definition Lakes and pools with mostly dirty grey to blue-green, more or less turbid, waters, particularly rich in nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus) and dissolved bases (pH usually > 7). Moderately eutrophic waters can support dense beds of macrophytes, but these disappear when pollution causes nutrient levels to rise further.
