Name	Source of point emissions or of diffuse emissions
Definition	Hierarchical structured code list values for a definition of each category.
Methodology for obtaining data	This is a required value. The hierarchical structure of the point and diffuse source categories allows the reporting at the level of disaggregation most compatible with the national data and inventories. Sub-categories for other point sources (O1 - O5) and other diffuse sources (NP71 - NP75) were introduced to allow a better alignment with the Water Framework Directive list of pressures. Emissions from urban waste water treatment plants with less than 2 000 p.e. (U11 and U21) and diffuse emissions from unconnected dwellings (NP3) are requested only if significant. The category NP7 can cover not only the sub-categories NP71 .. NP74, but also emissions from other diffuse sources not included in these sub-categories and missing in the diffuse sources list. If the categories for other point or diffuse sources (‘NP7’, ‘NP75’ ‘O’, ‘O5’) are used, please describe the emissions source(s) details in the “Remarks” field.
