| Definition | As the name already indicates, this type of land use is a combination of agricultural land use with forestry-like use. The ground between openly standing or scattered trees is grazed by cattle or life stock, or arable crops are planted between the trees. . In German speaking countries this landscape type is called “Hain”, “Hudewald” or “Waldweide”. In the Mediterranean countries it is called Dehesa or Montado and still can be found more often. |
