Name	Agglomerations
Short Description	This geodataset allows Member States to define Agglomerations, their location, size and number of inhabitants.
Methodology for obtaining data	European Parliament and Council Directive 2002/49/EC, relating to the assessment and management of environmental noise requires data and reports from Member States to be supplied to the European Commission. In Data Flow 1 and 5, for Agglomerations, Member States must report the concise description of their Agglomerations, their location, size and number of inhabitants. Member States must identify the geographical coverage of the agglomerations falling under the reporting responsibility of that body. This must be defined by a geographic dataset produced in accordance with the current EEA GIS Guidelines (http://www.eionet.europa.eu/gis/docs/EEA_GISguide_... ), where the associated attribute table must comprise the field names detailed in this specification. The geodataset must be supplied with supporting xml metadata compliant with the current European Environment Agency, Metadata Standard for Geographic Information (The minimum specification is available at http://www.eionet.europa.eu/gis/nationaldeliveries... ).
