Concept URI https://dd.eionet.europa.eu/vocabulary/landcover/eagle/LCH-short-rotation-forestry-srf-plantation
Preferred label Short Rotation Forestry (SRF) Plantation
Definition Short rotation forestry (SRF) consists of planting a site and then felling the trees when they have reached a size of typically 10-20 cm diameter at breast height. Depending on tree species this usually takes between 6 and 20 years, and is therefore intermediate in timescale between Short rotation Coppicing (SRC) and conventional long rotation forestry.
