| Definition | Humid meadows of river valleys of the eastern Carpathian ranges, their foothills and associated plateaux, of the southern pre-Pannonic foothills of the western Carpathians and of the Central Hungarian Range, similar to the sub-Atlantic meadows of the [Calthion palustris] and, like them, dominated by species such as [Scirpus sylvaticus], [Juncus effusus], [Cirsium rivulare], [Caltha palustris] ([Caltha laeta]), but developed under more subcontinental climatic conditions and accompanied by regional species, in particular [Valeriana simplicifolia], [Pedicularis limnogena], [Ligularia sibirica] and [Telekia speciosa]. |
