Definition Grassland communities from the alliance [Festucion valesiacae] of the Pannonic region, rich on [Stipa] species ([Stipa capillata], [Stipa pulcherrima], [Stipa joannis]) and herbaceous dicotyledonous species including, among others, [Salvia nemorosa], [Salvia austriaca], [Filipendula vulgaris], [Astragalus austriacus], [Astragalus exscapus], [Phlomis tuberosa], [Crambe tatarica], [Galium verum], [Ajuga genevensis], [Dianthus pontederae], [Thymus glabrescens], and grasses, [Festuca rupicola], [Koeleria macrantha], established on, notably, loess ridges formed by fluviatile erosion and accumulation. These rare communities are sensitive to grazing and trampling and have been extensively transformed into other grassland types.
