<dd3:Methodology><![CDATA[Some EEA Member Countries have previously submitted digital saltwater intrusion data.

Data providers are asked to check and validate the published data, and include any amendments or missing information in the next delivery of data.

It is assumed that your saltwater intrusion data can be used by the ETC Water for work under contract to the EEA and that the data can be compiled with other groundwater boundaries and be published on the Waterbase web site. Please declare any restrictions or reservations regarding the publishing of your digital saltwater intrusion data on delivery.

The digital geographical saltwater intrusion data sets have to be provided as polygons in ETRS89 (European Terrestrial Reference System 89)coordinate system in shapefile (preferably) or .e00 vector data formats.

The SALT-Code should be unique in the attribute table and no duplicate records should exist. The SALT-Code should relate to the codes used in the Saltwater-Intrusion table which contains additional attribute data.

We would like to encourage all countries to provide digital geographical saltwater intrusion data sets and accompanying attribute data.]]></dd3:Methodology>
