				<dd3:Methodology><![CDATA[Many EEA Member Countries have previously submitted data on the physical characteristics and proxy pressures relating to groundwater bodies.

Data providers are asked to check and validate the published data, and include any amendments or missing information in the next delivery of data. Some of this information might be available from the detailed characterisation of groundwater bodies according to the Water Framework Directive.

The groundwater body code (EWN-Code or GWB-Code-WFD) should be unique in this table and no duplicate records should exist.

We would like to encourage all countries to provide data on the physical characteristics and proxy pressure data relating to the groundwater bodies.

The most important fields in this table are: EWN-Code or GWB-Code-WFD, National Code, Name, Reference Year and Number of Horizon. Filling of other fields will be very appreciated.

ONLY ONE OF THE FIELDS EWN-Code OR GWB-Code-WFD CAN BE FILLED FOR EACH RECORD OF THIS TABLE. ONLY IF THE DELINEATION OF CERTAIN GROUNDWATER BODY IS FULLY IDENTICAL WITHIN THE EIONET AND SIMULATEOUSLY ACCORDING TO THE WATER FRAMEWORK DIRECTIVE, ARTICLE 5, BOTH OF THESE FIELDS SHOULD BE FILLED IN A SUCH RECORD.
